Amazing Music Version Uno.

Posted by Hamalo - July 13th, 2009

Well, I really have nothing to do so I am going to post some music which I think is amazing. I will do it when I feel like so no specific time period. I will try not to do any songs that have been done before and I will try not to do more than one song by the same band on each post.

I will try to stay away from mainstream bands and songs that you have heard before.

This is one of Modest Mouse's newer songs on Good News For People Who Like Band News (usually shortened to Good News). Although this is still a good album, it shows the beginning of Modest Mouse's downfall with the song "Float On".

Isaac Brock (Modest Mouse's lead singer) probably has one of the most unique voices I have ever heard, with an added lisp (although its hard to hear on studio recorded songs).

This one is different from most music you will hear nowadays but thats what makes it great. Creig Minowa's (the leader singer) voice is amazing and, as with Isaac Brock, it is one of the best I have heard.

I have actually seen Cloud Cult live twice and both concerts were very good.

Beck are geniuses...And I mean that in the weirdest way possible.

I like the mixing of the speech and the way they mixed the beat, and still managed to make it sound good. Even though most of the song is in spanish, it is still fun and good to listen to.

btw, your popsicles melting.

Man, do I have a weird taste in music or what?

STG is another band I saw live, and the chick singing was hot as fuck. Unfortunately after that tour she quit and they found a not-as-hot one :(.

Anyway, the mixture of guys and chicks singing and weird lyrics along with the funky techno beat are what make this song great.

Whew, you guys probably thought I was really weird for a while but this should be redeeming enough.

Its much different than my other picks, its more upbeat and happy and ska/rock-ish?

Yup, don't really have much to say. Super all or nothin, all I know is I'm goin no where fast, but I don't care.

The Expendables are yet another band I have seen live and are reggaeish.

Even though I posted one of their more popular songs, I don't think many people have heard of the Expendables so it should be alright.

Even though it is a reggae band, the only rastafarian guy with dreadlocks was the keyboardist, unfortunately.

More reggae for yall. I know its going to come off as a surprise, but I didn't see these guys live :P.

I was recently introduced to these guys from my brother and since then I have been a fan. I don't really know what to say about them, but they are awesome OK?!

Fuckin join the workforce boy.

Alright, were gettin back into music that is gonna make you think I'm a chomo or some shit, but oh well.

This is Isaac Brock's (remember him?) side project. Him and John Orth (singer for Holopaw).

Unfortunately they only released one album, and it was a strange one. Half of the songs were like the one I posted and the other half were like this one)

Sharpen your teeeeth. or lay flat!

Streetlight Manifesto has the same singer as Catch 22 and is basically the same kind of music but I prefer Streetlight over Catch, simply because its better :D.

This song starts off softer but give it a chance and itll get more like catch 22.

I still haven't figured out what this song is about (its in the air you breathe and its also in the water?) but I think its pollution, who knows.

.
/* */
Yeah, this one is more mainstream but shuddup, I was runnin low on bands and its still funky :D.
